Kosovo in 99th place for media freedom lower than ever in the last 10 years. This is an additional argument among many others why Kurti Government should not continue. Our commitment should be to do Kosovo #Major. And Kosovo doesn't do #Ma mire with a government that every day has a mission affecting free speech and the drowning of critical voices coming from free media. Reporters Without Borders report for 2025 is a strong alarm leg: Kosovo has suffered another deep decline in the global press freedom rankings, dropping to 99th place lowest in the last decade”, it has written, adding that this recession is no coincidence.
This reggress is no coincidence. It is a direct consequence of political attacks on journalists, efforts to label them as the enemy's “associates, as well as clear attempts to capture the Independent Media Commission and intervene in RTK. In this disturbing climate, the Constitutional Court's decision to bring down the KPM law as unconstitutional was a major victory for democracy and freedom of speech. Without that decision, Kosovo today would be even lower in this ranking of shame”, Tahiri wrote. /Periscope/
