The shooting occurred around 10:27 (in local time), said Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, during a press conference.
The victims were a man, and a woman said Bethel. Three teenagers, aged 15, 16 and 17, are among those injured, CNN reports, broadcast Periscope.
No weapons have been found, Bethel added. The names of the victims have not been disclosed.
