Kadri Wessel is one of the central political figures of the movement for Kosovo's freedom and independence in the 20-year-old crossing.
As one of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK), which very successfully introduced the Kosovo issue into the political agendas of major powers and NATO in 1998 and 1999, it faces charges of alleged war crimes today.
In 1990, he began his studies in Pristina, at the Faculty of Agriculture, as well as at the Pedagogical High School, the English branch, and the Albanian language. Due to the political circumstances that will take place later and the conditions imposed by the classic Serbian occupation, Kadri Wessel is forced to continue the remainder of studies by Pristina University, at the University of Tirana, at the Agronomy branch. Meanwhile, under the circumstances of Kosovo freedom (after 1999), he has continued his professional formation in the UK in General Management.
He began his domestic and political activity as a student in 1988-1989, among the People's Movement for the Republic of Kosovo ( The LPRK later, becoming one of the protest organisers and demonstrations at the time against the Serb and Yugoslav system that abused the Albanian people and violated Albanian national and human rights.
In 1981 the Yugoslav Communist regime imprisoned the two brothers and the son of his uncle because of their political activity. In 1990, by the time he had just started his studies in Pristina, along with Hashim Thaci, they come in contact with the then head of Ilegales (LPRK), Africa Dzitia, from which they get ideas and promises about the political organisation for the life of Kosovo's freedom and independence.
In 1991, it passes illegally to Albania on an organisation mission aimed at expanding and intensifying political action. Driven by the need to change the unbearable situation under Serbian occupation, they began building a concrete project for Kosovo's liberation, building up the capabilities of the combat nature. In Tirana, he is known and working with people from all parts of Albania who express readiness to serve the national issue through offering infrastructure they owned, including those from Albanian Army structures.
In Tirana, he also meets with the Prekazi Group with Commander Adem Jashari at the helm and with him to realise the first armed shares against the Serbian police and Army in Kosovo. In March 1993, along with several activists at the apostles' Oda in Prekaz, attends a meeting called by Legendary Commander Adem Jashar, and this meeting can be considered the official KLA founder's day.
From 1993 to 1998, Kadri Wessel co-ordinates activities around the armed struggle from Switzerland, Albania, the Dukagjini area, Drenica, Pashrik, etc. After the Jasaras fell in March 1998, The KLA gains a huge support in the people and thus é at the end of spring and during the summer of that year it is masovised in nearly all regions of Kosovo. During this time, Kadri Wessel, along with other members of the KLA's General Staff, work in restructuring units and military formations across all operational zones.
At this time it is appointed KLA's Anti-discoveration Service command (G-2), a responsibility which it will exercise very successfully until the end of the war. After the start of NATO bombings on Serbia's military forces (March 24th 1999), it with its unit of ZKZ will be the sole source of information about the movement and the happening of Serb military forces on Kosovo territory.
Following Kosovo's liberation (June 12th 1999), along with other KLA units, even the intelligence intelligence service (G-2) is deployed in Pristina to continue the mission under new circumstances. Under conditions of peace, military service revealed the counterintelligence had to be transformed into intelligence service. Could it be said that the Kosovo Information Service (SHIK) is the latest formation of The KLA, which was removed only after Kosovo's February 17, 2008.
At the end of 2012, Kadri Veselin is members of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), undergoing democratic election procedures and at the sixth PDK Convention on 27 January 2013 received the votes of members of the General Council to become deputy chairman of the party.
