As Serbian media are calling for exemption from the race, EBU doesn't consider any rules violations.
Albania impressed with its musical performance and was celebrated by many fans. Shortly after it was announced that Albania had qualified for the grand final, singer Beatrice George formed an eagle with her hands in front of the camera. An explosive gesture many Serbs view as a symbol of Greater Albania, and therefore as provocation.
Eurovision Song Contest rules ban any message or political symbol either on stage or outside.
In case of violations, sanctions are envisioned to the disqualified. However, national flags are allowed. In response to a request from 20 minutes, The EBU wrote: “Genest is an expression of Albanian identity and flows from the Albanian flag. National flags are allowed within the Eurovision Song Contest, so we will not enter this issue in detail. /Periscope/
