Erdogan phone conversation with Trump invites him to visit

In a post on the X social platform, Erdogan said a series of issues of high regional and global importance, including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the situation in Syria, the war in Ukraine, global trade and recent developments in negotiations between the US and Iran, were discussed during the call.

My phone call with my dear friend, Mr. Donald Trump, was fruitful and very sincere,” wrote Erdogan, adding that he expects to meet with him in the near future.

The Turkish president announced that the two leaders reaffirmed their mutual will to strengthen co-operation between the two countries, especially in the area of the defence industry and trade relations.

Also, Erdogan expressed his appreciation for Trump's efforts to promote peace and end global conflicts, underlining that Turkey is willing to make its contribution to regional stability and security.

I expressed my desire to welcome my friend to Turkey as soon as possible. He, in turn, invited us to the US,” said Erdogan, signaling a possible meeting in the future between the two political figures. /Periscope/
