“The entire population in Gaza, on the eve of extreme hunger” warns the World Food Programme

The UN World Food Programme's representative to East Jerusalem, Antoine Renard, has stated to the BBC that the temporary “distribution of the Gaza aid is not enough to cope with extreme food needs. “At present, very few trucks have been able to exit the Kerem Shalom border crossing and the platform [...]

Renard has also been asked about Israel's plan to change the way Gaza distributes aid, away from UN dependence, where he stressed that it is important that the existing food supply network is allowed to continue operating.
“Required sustainable and large-scale assistance, otherwise we will not avoid what it is already, an entire people on the verge of extreme hunger,” is expressed.
