Without the Albanians, without their unspoiled work, without sweat, without the sacrifice of their families, without the money they won most hard, Kosovo Freedom and Independence would remain only an idea.
Of course one of them is Tahir Kukaj, a patriot, a scholar who is now engaged every day to strengthen ties between our community and American institutions.
Kukaj holds many important functions in New York.
He is New York's top mayoral adviser, Hatelan with the rank of inspector at the New York Police Department (NYPD), Imam and Chief of the Islamic Studies Department at the Islamic School “Miraj”, as well as vice president of the Albanian Islamic Cultural Centre.
Meeting him was an honor, satisfaction, and a very inspiring one.
Here, in New York, there is no party, there is no division into ideology, in the opposition position.
Kosovo belongs to all, so all are part of a mobilization to address the injustices in the judicial process against KLA leaders in The Hague.
