Veselin and Krasniqi's complaint over the use of a testimony the SPS said would rely on.

According to DPS spokesman Michael Doyle, the decision was made on April 11th, and the parties were ordered to hand over the revised public versions of their respective statements, reports “Justice bet“.

He said the defence had indicated that it was damaged in this case, but that Appeals had found out they had already had that witness's statement and were subsequently aware of its contents.

“The shield claimed it was damaged because when the Judicial Chamber questioned a witness, he referred to a statement of the witness in which the prosecution had declared that it would no longer be supported during the trial. The Appeals panel reminded him of the protection that she had the witness's statement in question and therefore had been fully recognised by”, he said.

Doyle added that Apel has stressed that the court is allowed to ask witnesses anything it deems necessary to clarify their testimony, but on the condition that it does not create perception of bias.

“The Appeals Panel found that the transcript of the hearing in question clearly shows that the court asked questions about the credibility of the witness who bore testimony, which did not cause damage to defence”, he said.

The spokesman indicated that on April 15th, the prosecution has officially concluded its case in this case, and a day after the defence teams have announced that they intend to file a request for dropping charges in the indictment.

In addition, Doyle stressed that the Special has continued detention for Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselin.

While in the case of Hashim Thaci, Bashkim Smajt, Isni Kilajt, Fadil Fazlius and Hajredin Kuci regarding justice management, Doyle indicated that the form of responsibility for Thaci for the promotion has been added, and as a result, the new version of the indictment, Z. On the other hand, Doyle said in the same case a prosecution's request has been approved to be taken out for protection of two additional materials intended to use in the trial.

While, in the decision on the provisional failure of Haxhi Shala, Doyle said the judge has not confirmed Shala's close relationship with the person mentioned in the request, nor has she submitted any medical report explaining his situation.

For this reason, she found that Mr. Shala did not confirm the existence of the extraordinary and convincing humanitarian reasons that warrant temporary release”, Doyle said.
