Continued film “Quo Vadis, Aida? ” ranked among the 10 most prestigious developmental projects at the Cannes Film Festival

Investors Circle collect the world's most important new projects, and the inclusion of the project “Quo Vadis, Aida dealt with” between them confirms its artistic, social and international importance.

Aida? The missing” section has already provided strong international support through the participation of the most important European film funds, including the Austrian Film Institute, Vienna Film Fund, the Swedish Film Institute, the Polish Film Institute, the Medenboard Berlin-Bradenburg, Film Väst from Sweden and the French CNC Aide aux cinmas du fashion, as well as partnerships with leading European television companies ART/ ZDF, ORF, Canal+ and TRT. The project also has support from the global Indian Sales agent from France, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.
The previous film “Quo Vadis, Aida? ” was nominated for the Oscar Award for Best Foreign Film, won more than 50 international awards and was declared the best European film, while Jasmila dealt with as the best European director and Jasna âuričić as the best European actor.
Despite this remarkable success and importance of commemorating the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica this year, realising the continuation of the film faces serious obstacles in Bosnia and Herzegovina in achieving the necessary 20 per cent of funding from domestic sources.
The work of the BiH Film Foundation, a key institution for the support of local cinematography, has been blocked for months, which has brought the local film industry into a state of disfunctional complete. At the same time, the funds planned through the tax incentives programme in Sarajevo Canton, which were extremely important for closing the film's financial construction, were questioned due to institutional instability and administrative barriers. Under these circumstances, without systematic support of the state and local authorities, despite all international recognitions and significant already provided funds, filming this year's planned film becomes suspicious.
