Prime Minister Edi Rama, chairperson of the Socialist Party simultaneously, said today that “has the historic chance to take the final step towards joining Europe”, reports atsh, broadcast Periscope.
In a speech held at the opening of the election campaign for the May 11th elections, Rama said that “for representatives of Albania's socialist and progressive people starts the latest approach towards Europe and the end of our history outside of it”.
The Albanian prime minister stressed that “before us is just a date, May 11th, near as early as 30m and behind it is only a mandate -- the length of 4 years -- to win the historic bet with Europe for Albania and with Albania for Europe”.
He said that “so has chosen us fate to give the final impetus to the stone of independence, freedom, equality before the law by no longer allowing it to roll down like the Sisifi Stone, but by putting it once and for all in the corner of the European building, where we will together past the most beautiful flag in the world”.
