VV man arrested at the helm of CRU “Gjakova”, suspected of abuse of duty

According to the announcement, the same is suspected of “Use of official position or authority”.

This arrest comes after several days ago in the media several audio-incisions have been published in which the head of the CRU “Gjakova”, Hasan Krasniqi, speaks of negotiating a contract and confirms his involvement in contact with businesses that would deal with the company's car service, as well as being heard choosing the company to sign the contract, for a tender for auto service.

A suspect in criminal work “is arrested due to official position or authority”

Pristina, March 18th 2025 The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, in co-operation with the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, respectively, has implemented a police operation in Gjakova today.

The police operation has resulted in the arrest of an H.K. person suspected of using the official position or authority “by Article 41 KPRK, who by P-prosecutor's decision SRK has been detained for 48 hours.

And during today, the residential object of the suspected person has been checked and his office in KRU Gjakova, where evidence has been provided -- material evidence connecting to the case, as well as seized:

- One (1) Lap-Top

- One (1) Samsung Galaxy S22 mobile phone,

- Twenty-two-five.

- Barka Ranier Wit,

- Two contracts linking the case.

The prosecutor of the case within the legal deadline will decide on the measure of security of the defendant's presence in the procedure.
