Trump earlier stated that the European Union, which “in the most hostile way abuses taxes and tariffs in the world and is created for the sole purpose of exploiting the United States, has just imposed a terrible 50 - percent fee on whiskey”.
If these tariffs are not removed immediately, the US will soon set a 200 per cent fee above all wines, champagne and alcohol products coming from France and other EU countries. This will be fantastic for the US wine and champagne business”, the 78-year-old said.
The European Commission has announced that on April 1st it will complete its temporary suspension of tariffs on American products and that its measures will be fully in force by 13 April.
Otherwise, the U.S. has declared trade war to Canada and Mexico.
