In his post, Cekaj has indicated that the VV had invited him to become an MP candidate.
The “those who asked me to be part of their list as the candidate for the MP (the threat that I refused, because I was born in LDK), are now organized with all means to bring down the Czech family name and vote of the Albanian exile”, wrote among others.

Dear citizens, brothers and sisters,
Those who once campaigned using my father's name, those who sought support within our family to win the Magyar votes, those who called Staffard the capital of the Albanian exile, from where Sali Cekay started in the war for Kosovo, those who asked me to be part of their list of MPs (the threat I refused), are now organized with all means to fix the name Cekaj family and vote on the Albanian side.
I believe we have life both outside politics and face; and above all dignity!
We continue to face the spread towards the return of the LDK as the main party, where it belongs!
