Economist Shenoll Muharremi has reacted to ZRE's warning of costing the current again of 15 %s. He has written that this is unaffordable for citizens, taking into account the price hikes that have occurred in recent years, and that there will be devastating effects on families and the economy.
Muharrem has also mentioned the Law on Energy Regulatory, which says the price must be reasonable, so as not to exceed the socioeconomic limits families can afford.
“Nini 15.4 The Energy Regulatory Law requires that the electricity price be reasonable, so not to exceed the socioeconomic limits families cannot afford. No sign of theirs do they observe. There is neither reasonableness nor transparency”, it wrote.

Are you happy? RRE?
The proposal for electricity price growth, after astronomical inflation in recent years, is unreasonable. Unaffordable. With devastating effects on families and the economy. The decision has been taken with many doubts and does not appear to have ignored all angles and prospects of legislation in effect. The interests of consumers in particular have been ignored.
These ZERE guys are looking tough, but it's not good or powerful enough to come around hard with vulnerable citizens and not properly represented.
A few conflicting actions:
1. During the election campaign, when news came out that there might be an increase in the price of electricity, they denied it at the speed of light, perhaps with political instructions... But time exposed them badly.
2. They applied a <x0theor of contrast,” where the word first came out (with certainty from them) that growth would be 35%... that, when it was said 15%, it would look like an acceptable increase or not so great!
3. But 15% now means 130%. That is because this proposed 15% tops many previous increases. If we compare it to 2021, then the figure is about 130%. So it's not 15%, but it's 130%.
4. Besides, it's not just trying to increase the price of energy... This is the price barometer in general. This increase will have a boomerang effect on all other prices, causing a new wave of inflation. And let's not forget that there are products that are already 100% more expensive than in 2021, and with this new growth/inflammation, who knows how many will go!
5. To see how ruthless and abusive they are, look at the graphics they published in their communiqué announcing the proposal for growth. It has put Kosovo at one of the cheapest costs in Europe. That's what it looks like, but it's not true. A classic trick. Why? Because to appreciate the real value, we must rely on income, not just the price. When purchasing power and the revenue of Kosovo citizens are integrated, the current becomes one of the most expensive in Europe.
6. Article 15.4. The Energy Regulatory Law requires that the electricity price be reasonable, so not to exceed the socioeconomic limits families cannot afford. No sign of theirs do they observe. There is neither reasonableness nor transparency.
7. This regulator doesn't seem to work for the interests of the public, citizens, families and businesses... His actions and behaviors suggest he works for narrow interests. They also ignore legal provisions requiring consumer protection.
