HAPUR RUCTION THROUGHOUT THE THINGS EXPECIAL FOR LIVING - What? IT WRITER IN THE BABAWING TYA
Honored members of the Special Chambers Court,
With this letter, I address you in the name of fundamental principles of justice, humanity and universal human rights. Former President of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaci is facing a painful and personally serious moment of separation from his father's life, Haxhi Thaci.
Despite the trial, Mr. Thaci remains a full-fledged citizen and has the fundamental right to attend his parent's funeral. This is not a political or legal issue but a human, moral, and direct matter of respecting human dignity.
I urge you to make a decision that reflects the sensitivity and justice this situation requires. In similar cases, international courts have shown flexibility and have allowed individuals to attend their family burials. Such an action would not violate the judicial process or the safety of the procedure, as any necessary measures of oversight could be imposed by the relevant authorities.
To deprive a person of the right to say good-bye to a parent is a harsh and unwarranted measure. Therefore, I humbly request that you examine this request with sensitivity and urgency and allow Mr. Hashim Thaci be close to his family at this difficult moment.
Justice is not only pursuit and punishment, but also recognition of humanity and basic human rights.
With respect,
Pal Lekaj
