Kurt waits in office historian Oliver Schmitt speaks of co-operation opportunities

As ZKM reports at the meeting, it has been discussed the possibilities of co-operation with historian Schmitt and the contribution the government can offer in its history and research.

Republika Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti welcomed historian Oliver Jens Schmitt's meeting today. Also present at the meeting was Prizren University Rector “Uktin Hoti”, Mentor Alishani.

Southeast European History Professor and author and academician Schmitt is currently taking a tour of Balkan countries, where he is visiting and holding Kosovo's lecture and discussion on the importance of studying Albanian history.

This friendly meeting discussed opportunities for co-operation with historian Schmitt and the contribution the government can offer in the field of its history and research, and also the increased importance of history in current world politics and geopoliticalism.

Prime Minister Kurti praised him for his contribution and commitment to the study and recognition of Albanian history and culture.

Last week, Prizren University “Uktin Hoti” through the Senate's decision, honoured him with the title The Honored Doctor “Dr. Honoris Causa” becoming the seventh figure in the history of this university, to which this title of honor is given. /Periscope/
