Serbia has warned it will take “all necessary diplomatic measures” towards this decision.
On the other hand, Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, in an interview for Kosovo KTV has commented on Serbia's reaction, calling it a serious violation of the fourth article of Brussels' agreements, which prohibits blocking Kosovo's membership in international organisations.
Rohde has voiced support for recognising Kosovo's independence from the Republic of Kenya and has voiced hope that many other states will follow suit, as Germany did 16 years ago.
“First, I totally agree with you. It is truly welcome that Kenya recognises Kosovo. I hope that many other countries will follow this example, such as Germany 16 years ago. There are more than a hundred states that have recognised Kosovo. Serbia's reaction, as mentioned, is a serious violation of the fourth article of Brussels' agreements not to block Kosovo's membership in international organisations. This is an inappropriate move, which preserves the status quo last year, but at the same time, Kosovo must fulfil its duties for association,”, he said, broadcast Perskopi. /Periscope/
