German Military: Trump-Putin deal could take American troops away from Kosovo

German military analyst, professor of International Policy at the University of German Armed Forces Carlo Masala believes that American President Donald Trump wants to divide the world into the sphere of influence and warns of a concrete scenario that could destroy NATO.

Masala in an interview for the Austrian newspaper “Die Presse”, Says Trumpi from Russia seeks agreement that runs beyond Ukraine's issue, broadcasts Periscope.

And what such an agreement would look like, Masala says Putin, among the wishes, has the withdrawal of American troops from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as from Kosovo.

“We know what Putin wants: the return of European security architecture to 1997 level. So, American troops have to leave Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltic states and also Kosovo. And Trump once said that we should also talk about the roots of the Ukraine conflict. From Putin's point of view, this root is NATO enlargement. So the deal may be that Americans, who still want to leave Europe, end the presence of troops in Baltic states, in Central and Eastern Europe and in Kosovo, so that there can be once again an intermediate space between Russia and Germany, which Russia can then try to dominate”, German military analyst Carlo Masala said.
