Blagojcho Georgiev in a video shows how his people had previously secured the club in Kocan for a two-year period, in which at least 59 young people lost their lives in a fire.
He said that during that period he has observed a series of irregularities, and according to him, the isolation at the club has been made by cheaper materials, while permission of operations has been questionable.
My soul hurts for two years, my people secure the discotheque. The boss is greedy, that's all, he loves the money. I know the whole interior is covered in the cheapest isolation, the sponge! I was there while they were doing it! And now somebody's gonna accuse me of saying that? I'm being charged with 60 families, 30 people in the hospital! 5, 16,818x1>, said amid tears Georgiev, followed by Index.hr.
He says he had warned the owner that minors were entering the disco.
I said kids are coming 15 years old, and he told me to leave for money so we could win. Who gave permission for that club hole, who did the checks? I personally reported that there was a bunch of minors inside and it finally turns out that I'm the problem. I talk about the system, not individuals”, he said.
At least 59 people lost their lives and more than 150 others were injured in a fire at the Puls nightclub in Kocan, Northern Macedonia. The club, as it was later discovered, functioned with a forged license and a series of serious security failures were ascertained by control.
The owner of the club, who attempted to leave the country, was arrested along with 19 other people, including former state officials.
