Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has remembered the 26th anniversary of the massacre in the Mitrovica Market.
The country's first has said it today remembers with pain seven innocent lives that were tragicly extinguished in the Mitrovica market massacre, at the criminal hand of the Serbian genocide regime.
“Today, 26 years later, we remember in pain seven innocent lives that were tragicly extinguished in the Mitrovica market massacre, where the criminal hand of the Serbian genocide regime aimed at breaking the spirit of a people fighting for freedom. Among the victims were children and women - innocent people who, instead of peace, faced brutality. 128 citizens that day were wounded, so pain was engraved eternally on their bodies and our hearts. It was a cruel attack, a barbarous act aimed at sowing fear but, instead, sowed strength and determination. Mitrovica was not broken. Kosovo did not kneel”, Osmani wrote on Facebook.
