A person is suspected of cheating on a driver's license test.

According to the Kosovo Police, the event took place on August 27th last year, when a suspect in Gjilan's driver's license centre had been searched by the examiner found hidden electronic devices in his body, including microphones, internet and mini-cameries. He allegedly tried to use them to pass the test illegally.

Police accompanied the suspect and confiscated his equipment while identifying another person and went to check his apartment, but did not find him. He allegedly received 600 euros to help him.

The police had left the invitation, and on February 10, 2025, the suspect volunteered and were interviewed in the presence of his lawyer.

“Based on provided evidence, reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal act of fraud has been raised against suspects. After consulting with the state prosecutor, the ban has been issued for 48 hours. Investigations related to the case are ongoing, while authorities warn strict measures against any attempt to manipulate patent tests of drivers and other forms of fraud”, police report said.
