The Kosovo Embassy in Washington and Consulate in New York are the last in which the election process has ended.
Fellow villagers had the right to vote at 43 locations in the Embassy and Consulates of Kosovo in the world, one day before the elections.
But because of the local time difference, those in the United States opened up last, to be closed so far.
We thank all those who voted today, as well as those who have chosen the vote through the mail, meanwhile deep gratitude to all colleagues involved in co-operation, non-reliable and professional work, enabling the election process to succeed”, the report says.
Meanwhile, at the Embassy in Washington in direct voting there were 78 citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, meanwhile in the Consulate in New York, eligible voters had 619 fellow countrymen.
This is the first time Kosovo citizens are allowed to exercise voting rights in a diplomatic facility in the United States.
In the CEC's latest data, 71.16 per cent of voters registered for voting (14 thousand and 463) at the Embassy/Consulata have exercised the right to vote, without counting them in the US.
Thousands of exiles have also voted through mail in the past few days.
