Repper Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a $100m indictment (80.5 million pounds) against the creators of a recent documentary dealing with his life, as he continues to face charges of sexual assault.
Currently, the rapper is at a prison in New York pending a federal criminal trial on charges of sexual trafficking and blackmail, which he denies.
Diddy's lawyer announced he's suing television network NBC, its transmission service and production company for the documentary.
Legal action claims the documentary contained false and slanderous statements against the rapper.
The three companies have yet to offer any comments.
The indictment says “the entire premiere of the documentary is built on the assumption that Combs committed numerous serious crimes, including serial murder, rape of minors and sex trafficking of minors. ”
Diddy wants $100m compensation for “reputation and income damage” caused by the documentary.
The indictment points out that the programme “falsely, inconsistently and maliciously comps for murder,” including known figures around him, such as former partner Kim Porter.
The indictment comes after a series of charges that have been brought against the men and women's rap star over the past 16 months.
Currently, more than 30 separate civil indictments have been filed against him.
The star has been accused of kidnapping, drug use, and tightening women into sexual activities, sometimes using firearms and violent threats.
