Today, five years are filled by the death of singer Nexmie Paganousha, known as Kosovo's Bilbil.
Born in May 1933 in Malisheva, Nexmie Paganusa had begun her musical career in 1948 on Radio Pristina. In 1984 she finished her singing career.
Its characteristic voice turned it into an unprecedented icon based on its infinite gifts and talents.
In addition to the singer, she was a movie and theatre actress.
For the work values it has been honoured with the “Nandder of the Nation” from the presidency of Albania, while the Kosovo presidency shared the “Artist Award, Merified”.
Necmije Paganousha died at the age of 86. It left behind five albums and 88 songs, out of them best known “Bareshah” and “Prizren's Zambat”
The singer will be remembered as a reference model for young generations of artists, an unquenchable star of Albanian music.
