We honor not only individuals today, but also the Albanian spirit itself, the soul that never gives up, and that generation after generation has defended the trust of freedom. Albania and Kosovo are more than two states. We are a nation, a blood, a banner a story, bound forever. Our story is a story of pride”, Begaj said.
The first of the Albanian state, said neither conquest nor injustice, dictatorships or genocide never broke the national conscience.
“Albania has contributed and will contribute to Kosovo because our national conscience tells us so. Kosovo assistance is only our aid. We must stand side by side, in every aspect of life, economy, security, science. Our relationships link blood, canon, nation history. Independent Kosovo is a reality that does not turn back -- a reality that has been won with blood and sacrifice”, the president of Albania said in his speech at this event organised by President Vjosa Osmani, who awarded presidential medals to those contributing to Kosovo.
