He then says it takes courage to fight corruption to punish them.
Even if a leader does not benefit directly from corruption but tolerates it and protects corrupt people who serve his interests, he is equally guilty. Letting corruption, does not make it less harmful, rather strengthens and normalizes it!
To fight corruption is not enough simply to avoid being corrupt, but it takes courage and willingness to punish those who keep it alive.
