182 thousand uninhabited Kosovo dwellings

New data from the 2024 census has published the Statistics Agency. Based on them, across Kosovo there are 182 thousand and 849 residences that are uninhabited.

And that figure is over 83,000 higher than it was in the preliminary census, which was carried out in 2011.

Exactly 182 thousand of 849 is the number of residences that are uninhabited across Kosovo, have shown the latest data from the 2024 population census, which has been published by the Statistics Agency (ASK).

Based on this data, the Pristina municipality has the largest number of uninhabited settlements, totaling 25 thousand and 195 sos, followed by Prizren's with 16 thousand 842 and Ferizaj, with 15 thousand and 228.

Compared to the last population census in 2011, the number of uninhabited settlements has increased to 83 thousand and 041.

According to the AKS, the latest data provides detailed mirrors on demographic changes in Kosovo.

Besides those for residences, the new AKS data also tells of the number of new buildings that have at least a habitable residence.

According to statistics, this country level is 274 thousand and 116. Even this figure, compared to the 2011 population census, has increased to 26 thousand and 167 units.

Growth compared to 13 years ago is also in the total number of residences. While in 2011 it was 312 thousand 711, last year's census records figure 566 thousand and 779 Sosh.

The Statistics Agency, in December last year, has published the first final results from the population census. Based on these results, Kosovo has 1,602,515 residents.

That figure, compared to the 2011 census, is for about 150 thousand of the lowest residents.
