Diddy moves to a prison with low security.

Sean “Combs was transferred Thursday to Fort Dix, a federal prison with low security in New Jersey, to begin executing the remainder of his conviction on prostitution-related charges, according to sources known to the case.

Combs, who was found guilty of two counts of transportation to participate in prostitution, demanded that he suffer his 50-month sentence (just over four years) at the Fort Dix institution, to take advantage of the drug treatment programme and draw closer to his family, reports CNN.

The music Mogul will suffer about two and a half years in federal prison. So far, he has remained in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, New York, since his arrest in September 2024 and during his federal criminal trial process earlier this year. These 13 months will be reduced to the rest of the sentence, except for any credit he may take for participation in drug treatment. The date for his release is May 8, 2028, according to the Bureau of Prisons.

Combs' legal team is appealing against his sentence and trial, and this week called for a federal appeals court to set an accelerated schedule. President Donald Trump earlier confirmed that Combs has asked for an apology, but no decision has been made.
