In a report published by Rushiti, it has become known that the nomination was proposed by Sweden's MP Magnus Jacobsson.
“I am deeply happy and honoured that me and the Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors (QKRMT) are nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. This nomination decision, proposed by the deputy of the Swedish Parliament, Mr. Magnus Jacobsson, fills me with unfathomable emotion and deep gratitude”, wrote the director of QKRT on Facebook.
She has called this nomination a great accomplishment. She and her team have said that they are inspired by the nomination to contribute globally to severe injuries and to prevent sexual violence in conflicts, as well as to the achievement of justice for survivors.
