O V L- KLA in Pec reacts to Gervala for Haradinaj: Interpreting the Sacrifice of Thousands of Warriors

The War Veterans' Organisation in Peja has reacted sharply to Deputy Prime Minister Donika Grovalla-Schwarz, who strongly offended Ramush Haradinaj's rank, calling him self-declared General.

Reaction to Minister Donika Gervalla-Schwarz's statement

With deep regret we heard the serious insults of Foreign Affairs Minister Donika Grovalla-Schwarz, against Ramush Haradinaj and the KLA's glorious war. To call it a commander of the fiercest battles of the self-declared federal war “is not only a shameful lie but also a desecration of the sacrifice of thousands of KLA martyrs and warriors.

Ramush Haradinaj was not alone on the front; over 920 fighters were martyred at his side in Dukagjin, facing Serbia's killing machine. They did not fight for titles, but for Kosovo's freedom, for the freedom today that the Minister Gervalla-Schwarz himself has chosen, instead of honouring this sacrifice, to despise it.

What is even more painful is the fact that Donika Gervalla-Schwarz, daughter of Yusuf Gervala (one of the symbols of national resistance) is using her position to despise the Kosovo Liberation Army. She is not honoring her father's sacrifice, but she is rolling the bones into the grave with the tongue of hatred towards those who made the freedom for which he was sacrificed a reality.

Minister Gervalla-Schwarz is the first person in post-war policy to use the sacrifice of martyrs to attack them and tarnish the holy struggle for freedom. This doesn't bring unity, it's separation. It doesn't strengthen the state, but it divides the people. He does not honor the past, but he rejects it with contempt.
