KFOR mission commander Enrico Bardonini has met with Dutch Kingdom Ambassador Karin Boven, with whom he has discussed the situation of regional stability.
KFOR through a media communique has said Bardon has expressed gratitude to Boven for the long-term contributions of the Netherlands to the security of the region.
The “They discussed views related to various topics, including sustainable security throughout Kosovo, the situation of regional stability and KFOR efforts in support of EU facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade”.
General Major Bardonini also expressed congratulations on the Netherlands' long-term contributions to KFOR and regional stability” to Ambassador Boven, said in the media communique.
While it has been said that this meeting is part of the regular interactions of Major General Bardun with his respective counterparts in Kosovo and the region.
KFOR continues to implement its 1999 UN Security Council Resolution 1244 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and for freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
KFOR works in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Law Rule in Kosovo (EULEX).
