Palestinian militant group Hamas freed four Israeli soldiers Saturday, who will be exchanged for 200 Palestinian prisoners imprisoned in Israeli prisons.
They were all members of a mostly female observer unit posted around Gaza to observe the signs of Hamas' activity, which were among about 250 hostages seized during the October 7th attack.
Images showing their capture, as well as another soldier, at the Nahal Oz military base were broadcast on Israeli television last year after their families gave permission in an effort to raise awareness and create pressure to restore them, Reuters reports, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
