Iran frees Italian journalist

Palazzo Chigi reports: “Aeroplane who took the journalist home rose a few minutes ago from Tehran. Thanks to intensive work in diplomatic and intelligent channels, our fellow traveler has been released by Iranian authorities and is returning to Italy”, explained in the press release, which says Sala will sit at 3:30 at Campino Airport.
In recent hours, there has been an unexpected acceleration thanks to diplomatic work carried out by Italy, even with the co-operation of the United States. Yesterday, Cecilia had called home, informing her detention conditions had improved: she had received a bed and the two packages delivered by the Embassy had arrived. Then at night, the release and deportation occurred. Prime Minister Giorgia Melon, who was handling the file a week ago, made the news to Cecilia's parents.
