The United Kingdom has expressed serious concern over today's actions of the Government of Kosovo towards the parallel structures run by Serbs in Kosovo.
In a response through the embassy in Pristina, she cites her continuing calls towards the government headed by Albin Kurti for constructive engagement through dialogue.
The fact is that the best way to address these issues is to establish the Association of Serb majority municipalities.
The United Kingdom is concerned about today's actions towards the Serb-run parallel structures in Kosovo. We have called for the Government of Kosovo to ensure that these actions are carried out in line with its legal framework, but also to take into account the fact that many ordinary Kosovo Serbs, including the most vulnerable, continue to rely on these institutions for services. The constructive commitment, by the governments of Serbia and Kosovo, through the EU-mediated Dialogue, including the full implementation of the Brussels Agreements and the creation of the AKS, is the best way to address these issues”.
