Turkish diplomacy chief Hakan Fidan has declared that Turkey is a country that historically supported Kosovo's independence and will continue to do so, Anadolu reports.
The Turkish top diplomat has talked about regional and international issues, including issues dealing with the Balkan region and reports with Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
He spoke of the important role Turkey has in the Balkans, as well as the vision of official Ankara to maintain peace and stability in the region, so that it does not repeat the 90s.
“We are a country that historically supported Kosovo's independence and will continue to do so”, Fidan said, adding that as far as Bosnia and Herzegovina is concerned, Turkey will always support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country, as it has done so far. On the other hand is Serbia, Fidan said, stressing that his state has good relations with the Serbian state.
To have brotherly relations with BiH and Kosovo, which is our historic obligation, but to establish good relations with Serbia, is to reflect strong political leadership”, he added, underlining that support for the independence of Kosovo and BiH. / AA
