Technical workers on strike, “Frameset” waste

The strike of Kosovo's Parliament's technical workers has caused lawmakers institution facilities to be filled with garbage. Persistent on their demands have been expressed by technical workers. Nazife Krasniqi, has told Online Economy that the strike will not stop until conditions are met.

“Greva will continue until our demands are met. Our salary at the moment is 275 euros is very insufficient because travel, food, we do eight hours of work, but when there are sessions that stop us after work hours and weekends we work, work schedules are not paid. Our requests have never been taken into account, and if this request is not met, we will not continue our work”, she said.

While the chairman of the Independent Private Sector Union, Yusuf Azemi, has told Online Economy that the workers' demand is that the salary rise to 550 euros. Under this salary, he said that workers would not start work.

“Greva will continue when these workers sign working contracts with the economic operator 550 euros. Under that salary it is very normal that we will not stop the strike and the strike's deadline will depend on them, but not on us. Since June we have been ready and waiting for the moment to be an even more reasonable moment, otherwise there are three months that the workers have been trying to strike, but with my insistence we have left to seize all possibilities of dialogue for which we have not succeeded”.

“We have received information from the inside of the assembly and the economic operators have been able to raise these salaries, in June it has been that somewhere around 500 euros it is this salary, and we are staying in a coma because we have legal support, with 275 euros it has not been necessary to work so far, but the end has come, and when they are willing to dialogue and come to an end we will start work, otherwise we are comfortable and we have no reason to worry because we have always gone on warning and notice on the basis of the law that this parliament has passed, but we are also giving some form of a mirror and government officials how interested in the welfare of our employees because these people have come to this vote, Ax).

These people came with our vote at this parliament”, Azemi said.
