After the end of witness W04590, the SPS called the next witness this morning. This is Ahmet Candmanaj, who, according to the SPS, was a member of the KLA military police unit “The” river during the current” period, says the Special Media report.
By contrast, Nakmanaj is the 92nd witness in court so far in the trial process against former KLA leaders charged with war crimes.
The trial in the case of four former KLA General Staff guides the biggest court case of the so-called special court will continue today at 09:00.
Of the more than 300 witnesses in total, to date 90 of them -- Albanians, Serbs, international experts, former mission officials, former commanders, former Kosovo institutions officials and alleged victims of war -- have been heard mainly at closed hearings for the public, while today will offer testimony to the 91st witness.
Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are accused by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) of murder, torture and cruel treatment in the period between 1998 1999.
In the trial process that has begun on April 3, 2023, former KLA leaders have pleaded innocent to all points of indictment.
