“also on 13 September, the Judicial Chamber ordered the continuation of Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi's detention. The Judicial Chamber found that there are still risks for the two accused that they will prevent the process from progress and/or perform other criminal acts against those considered to be opposed The KLA, including witnesses who have testified in the court case and/or are expected to appear before the Special Chambers. The Judicial Chamber recalled the constant atmosphere of witness intimidation in Kosovo and stressed that Mr. Selimi drew privileged information on the three unauthorized parties. The Judicial Chamber concluded that the communications of the accused could be limited in a way that greatly reduces these risks only through implementation of the framework for monitoring communications used in the detention facility of Specialised Chambers.”
