This decision was taken at a modern-day meeting of the Serbian government, where measures for Kosovo, which Serbia's president, Allexandar Vuciq, has presented to him on Friday.
The “specific task for implementing the submitted measures was given to all ministries with the aim of protecting Serbs in Kosovo, as well as their political, economic and social empowerment. The key point of the Government session is that all ministries engage in property preservation, declare Kosovo special social protection territory, strengthen institutions, go to Serbia's Parliament on request that all acts adopted since Kosovo's declaration of independence” be declared, Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vuchevic said.
The Serbian government also approved a conclusion with which the Defence Ministry is commanded to initiate the procedure for returning mandatory military service in the length of 75 days.
Vuchevic expects changes to be adopted in the law removing the suspension of mandatory military service by the end of next week.
