On September 2nd, Imer Imer, Kosovo Democratic League activist (LDK) during the Kosovo war, has testified in the judicial process against former Kosovo Liberation Army superiors (UÇK).
“I'm not here against U n CK she is golden to the people of Kosovo but unfortunately, the deeds of certain individuals have brought me here today” was the statement of Imer before prosecutors and judges at the hearing Monday.
The prosecutor of the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS), Vega Iodice, has said that Imer has been kidnapped in Kosovo and has been held in a barracks in Albania, while there she has been beaten by KLA members.
“The witness is Kosovo Albanian who was kidnapped by KLA soldiers because he was a supporter of the LDK. He was held in the KLA military barracks in Albania, where he was beaten by KLA soldiers”.
Of the more than 300 witnesses totaled, 80 of them -- Albanians, Serbs, international experts, former mission officials, former commanders and alleged victims of war -- have been heard mainly in closed hearings for the public, while today will offer testimony to the 81st witness.
The former president of Kosovo, former Kosovars and former head of the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) deputies are charged by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) for alleged murder, torture and cruel treatment in the period between 1998 (1999).
