Former head inspector of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Burim Ramadani, has called the bridge's complete opening over Iber, has said the government's verbal confrontation with NATO has damaged its opening.
He has said the idea of opening this bridge for circulation must resume with strategic communication with NATO.
“I believe that trumpeting and declassifying verbal confrontation with NATO and KFOR has done enormous damage to the bridge's opening opportunity. So sometimes it might be asked whether these authorities really wanted to open the bridge or just want to confront NATO and put NATO in a bad situation in front of the citizens of Kosovo, for which I believe they haven't arrived because Kosovo citizens believe them. NATO and wants Kosovo to be in NATO”, he has said of KosovaPress.
Following the closure of several parallel offices in Serbia, citizens of the Serb community in northern Kosovo have begun protesting. For this kind of political organisation, Ramadani has stressed that it is postponed, promoted and financed by official Belgrade. According to him, Kosovo should not fall prey to provocations and take the welfare and prosperity of any Kosovo citizen priority, regardless of which ethnicity they belong to.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has declared that the Kosovo government is ready for the opening of the bridge over the Iber River, and that it is becoming co-ordination with KFOR's QUINT, to co-ordinate about this issue, while adding that there are no details about the announcement of a meeting of Kosovo's chief negotiators and Serbia within dialogue.
