Vladimir Putin has reacted to claims that the West is allowing Zelensky to order long-range missile attacks taken by Western states to attack targets within Russian territory.
The Russian president has clearly indicated, if this is going to happen, we are at war with NATO, he has said, writes A2 CNN.
The use of Ukraine's long-range Western missiles to hit Russia would mean that NATO's “countries are at war with Russia” and Moscow will take the appropriate “decisions”, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken gave his strongest explanation so far that the White House is ready to lift its restrictions in Ukraine using long-range weapons supplied from the west to key military targets within Russia.
Speaking in Kiev together with UK Foreign Secretary David Lamie, Blinken said the US “since the first day was willing to adjust its policy as the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine changed. We will continue to do this”, he stressed, sticking to what President Biden suggested the previous day, writes A2.
Blinken said he and Lami would report to their “chiefs”; Joe Biden and Keir Starmer, following their talks Wednesday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
British Foreign Secretary suggested sending ballistic missiles from Iran to Moscow discovered this week had changed strategic thinking to London and Washington. It was a “significant and dangerous escalation”, he said.
