Social Democrat Party member Teute Rrusta has criticised the actions of Prime Minister Albin Kurti in northern Kosovo.
The row has accused Kurti of turning this part of the country into a problem mainly linked to criminal gangs and a lack of legality.
She has also said that the government's actions in the north have made it appear that the problem there is only criminal, while, according to her, the roots of the problem are political.
“And we get out and we see from the top what the prime minister has done with all of these actions is make the north sound like a problem with criminal gangs, a problem of lack of legality, and we all know the problem... where there is political uncertainty thrives even criminality, and even legal anemia, whose state is not really known.”, Rrusta said.
“If you've decided to go into dialogue and you've chosen that path, that's a different answer to the dialogue. It's a little dishonest with both cards, because they're different, they're controversial. We agree that the north is a political problem. And dialogue is happening to create conditions that these problems to solve. The first element of democracy is not sovereignty, the first element is political representation. And there Serbs have no political representation”, has added Roots to RTV Dukagini.
