In the early hours of the day, in 24,09,233, a police unit that was on patrol in the village of Zvecan announced that two trucks were located on the bridge leading to the interior of the Banjska village, where dozens of homes are located.
Police Sergeant Africa Bulnjak, along with two of his colleagues, had responded to the case, by scratch until he was approached by trucks determined to see what was going on, a infantry grenade with remote controls exploded.
Sergeant Africa Bulnjak was killed in the attack in 24.09,23, while his two colleagues, one was injured and the other injured.
The responsibility for the attack, as well as logistics, had taken former Serbian List Deputy Chairman Milan Radojic, who was arrested in Belgrade on 03.10.23.
“For this I have not announced anyone, nor the power structures of the Republic of Serbia, nor in the north, nor have I had any assistance from them, because by that time we had different distinct positions as regards the protection from Kurt's terror, as the Serbian people have offered resistance to Kurti's terror many cases of easing and calming the political situation” said in Radojic's letter, which his lawyer read in 29.2024.
By means of this letter, he said he resigns from his position in the Serbian List.
Radociq was interviewed by the prosecution in Serbia and left to be investigated in freedom.
In 08.09.2024, the first of the state, President Vjosa Osmani, said in an interview at “Kalxon Pernyme” that the order for this attack was issued by her counterpart in Serbia, Aleksandar Vuciq.
She insisted that this attack should be considered not only a terrorist attack, but an act of aggression against the state.
Since September 2023 onward, Kosovo Police in dozens of cases have conducted stakes in various locations in northern municipalities, finding an arsenal of weapons that were used and expected to be used in the Banjska attack.
The weapons were allegedly introduced into Kosovo by illegal roads, which have already been reportedly closed in these areas.
BIRN's research had revealed that the origin of some of the weapons that were seized was from Serbia.
BIRN had discovered that bullets seized by armed Serbs in northern Kosovo were produced in Serbia in 2022, while mortar shells and grenade launchers passed through the Serbian state maintenance centres in 2018 and 2021.
Banjska's issue continues to remain a topic of discussion in most international meetings held for Kosovo-Serbia reports.
In 25.06.2024 European Union spokesman Peter Stano had reiterated that Kosovo is responsible for investigations into the terrorist attack that took place in Banjska.
At a media conference, he said investigations should be made by Kosovo authorities as the case has occurred within its territory, while adding that it has not yet shared with the EU the final report of full investigations.
The same day, Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu had responded to Stanos, saying that as a government, they have compiled a 48-page report on the terrorist attack that the EU and member states have sent to him since last year (2023). /KA LLXO. COM
