In a recent incident at a school in Kosovo, the terms “were used before 1” and “Parent 2”, raising serious concerns about the erosion of traditional family values. In Kosovo, the family is not only a social unit, but a sacred institution, deeply rooted in our culture and history. The use of general terms such as “Parent 1” and “Parent 2” appears to be an attempt to impose standards that do not reflect the values and norms of Kosovo society.

Why not use “below” and “Father”, words that represent the most fundamental and caring roles in a child's life? These terms reflect the natural and essential bond that forms the essence of family structure. Replacing them with neutral labels and visualism, undermines the importance of these roles and represents a departure from the values that have shaped and kept our nation alive for generations.

It is essential to protect family values in Kosovo, where the relationship between parents and children, embedded in the words “Mother” and “Father”, is not just a legal distinction, but a moral and emotional connection. We must resist efforts to reduce the family's sacred role in our society by imposing standards that are not compatible with our national identity. It is everyone's right to be free in their orientations, but by what right do we impose on our children denial of the right to use father and mother appointment?
