Kosovo police boost its capacities with US support

Kosovo's “Police, since its establishment, have implemented training of different levels in co-operation with its partners inside and outside Kosovo. The treatments have not stopped at any period of time and continue to be realised even further,” said the KP in its announcement.
The United States of America has been one of the main supporters in providing training for the Kosovo Police. During the period 2022-2024, over 250 training has been conducted for over 2,300 participants from the KB, including special units.
The training offered by the United States was carried out by agencies like OPDAT, I. CITAP, DEA, FBI and US KFOR,” was further highlighted in the announcement.
The KK has continued to nominated its US training officials, pointing to its commitment to professional capacity development. “We continue to have extraordinary co-operation and reports with the US and the American Embassy,” said KK, emphasising US-made investments in training and equipment.
The PK's willingness to address concerns that may have arisen regarding the security field and its role, said the report. “The PK takes with concern the American Embassy's statements and is ready to proceed with everything necessary to eliminate misunderstandings and maintain our extraordinary partnership,” stressed Kosovo Police.
The KP is committed to transparency and accountability, providing information and statistics for training for opinion and media.
