Italian KFOR troops deployed in Kosovo, say willing to react to any development

Last night, Italian troops from KFOR reserves completed their deployment to Kosovo as part of the NATO-led mission.
They will replace reserve troops from Greece and Bulgaria.
The battalion will stay at Camp Village Italy for several months, conducting patrols and other activities, and will be used in response to any development of the security situation.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and for freedom of movement,” is further said in the communiqué.
KFOR has been stressing that it remains ready to handle any security scenarios.
