According to him, the prosecution has done a volume of work documenting the actions of each accused, including the use of weapons and positions they have held during the conduct of the attack.
This indictment requires the responsibility of each person separately, and it took time to gather all the facts and evidence, including those sent abroad for verification,” Morina said at RTV Dukagujini.
He added that, even though investigations have taken time, the work has been done within the time terms allowed by the law.
Lawyer Shkelzen Soopyan, former inspector at the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), called for caution in actions undertaken in northern Kosovo.
He estimated that some of the operations currently under way have begun to take on a political color and could jeopardise the patience of international partners.
“We have open reactions and criticism from international partners, including the United States, against recent actions in the North. It is imperative that we be more careful and better co-ordinated with our allies before we take action,” Soopyan stressed.
He added that the previous actions of Kosovo institutions in the north were right and necessary, but already some of these actions are perceived as politically motivated and could harm Kosovo's image in the eyes of the international community.
