Through a questionnaire involving about 400 high school students of the Pristina municipality and the Lipjan municipality, IHDNI has managed to measure the perception of young people about their knowledge of sexual violence and sexual harassment.
“ ... made me do things and made me look at pornography at that age, which is not good for an 8-year-old”, that's just one of the stories of one of the students who anonymously confessed to her bitter experience of sexual harassment she had experienced since she was a young girl.
This story is not the only one in the IHDNY investigation, there are other students who have shared their bitter experiences as a result of sexual harassment. Of the 383 students, there are 9 boys and 70 girls who have reported experiencing sexual harassment during their lifetime, even though many young ones have.
The research has been conducted with the ages of 15 and 16, ten-graders of four high schools in Pristina and Lipjan. This research has resulted in increased cases of sexual violence and sexual harassment in recent years, with minors in many cases.
