Haxhiu withdraws from attacks on Court, agrees to make changes to the Bureau Law

Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu has informed of recent developments regarding the Law for the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating of Inexcusable Riches.

During a media conference, Haxhiu said that after publishing the Constitutional Court's decision, the Ministry of Justice has urgently responded to addressing the findings.

We have not drafted a new north, but we have addressed four cases that are considered contrary to the Constitution under Constitutional Court”.

She called on the opposition to uphold this law.

“As soon as we have statements from the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Prime Minister concerning the financial declaration if the law is in accordance, we'll process the version again with changes to the Law for the State Bureau for Verification and Confisification of Unjustified Riches.

According to reports from the cabinet by responsible officials, within this week we will have two statements and immediately proceed to the government and then to the assembly. It is vital that there be unification in the Assembly for this law. After the changes we have made, it is important to have the support of parliamentary groups in the Kosovo Assembly. I call on the House to support this version of the law”.
